Welcome To The New Book Review Section Mommies
As a mother of three all within three years of each other, I have had to navigate blindly in the early years. Sadly, I even stepped on land mines I could have avoided had I had more information on how to do this whole mothering thing. So, my hope and prayer for you is to be able to avoid stepping on some of those land mines yourself, while also gathering some helpful information on being a Biblical mommy in raising your children.
Of course the first and foremost best book to go to for parenting should obviously start with the Bible. That being said, when it comes to being a mom, the Bible itself does not come right out and say "DO THIS TO BE A GREAT MOTHER". There are certainly subtle clues on what to do and what not to do (Hint, hint, 1st and 2nd Kings definitely shows the outcomes of mothers who followed God and those who did not.)
So once you have the Bible in your tool belt of books, hopefully some of these will help you navigate being a Biblically aligned mother.

Mama Bear Apologetics by: Hillary Morgan Ferrer
Mama Bear Apologetics was by far the best book I ever read when it came to parenting. I will still refer to it to this day. The really neat thing about this book is it will teach you how to take your child from "baby milk, to baby food, to toddler food, to meat and potatoes". What do I mean by this? When I set out to raise my children perfectly (because that was a realistic goal!) I wanted to keep them from all the fleshly things of the world. I remember Disney's Turning Red had recently come out and because of its references to potential menstrual cycles, I had no intention of ever showing it to my children while under our roof. I was going to keep them in that protective bubble. I should note, they still have not seen that movie, but it is now purely because of a lack of interest. This book taught me how to guard my children while they were young enough to need it and then to gradually allow them to experience more and more of the world BUT under my watchful eye.
This was a huge breakthrough for me! It opened up a huge opportunity to be able to teach our children about the world without being in it. We started (when age appropriate) to dissect movies and songs. We would ask what Biblical attributes were in it as well as what non-Biblical attributes they noticed. Huge learning opportunities that we were able to guide. That is why this book is at the top of the list. As a mother I had no idea the damage I could have caused not exposing my children to certain things while under my watchful eye. Most likely they would have entered the world and gone crazy getting a taste of everything the world could offer to satisfy the flesh.
Below is the back of the book to give you insight into the details of the book as well as the chapters so you can know ahead of time what will be discussed. I hope and pray you find this book a blessing. Though this is by one lady, you will find she had a group of mothers who wrote certain chapters they had strengths in. DISCLAIMER: These mothers are not perfect, just like you and me. There may be things in the book you feel convicted by the Holy Spirit NOT to agree with. I 100% had this. So let the Spirit guide you in Truth and what will be best for you and your family.
If you are not reader or just do not have the time to sit down and read, you can listen to it on audio book.
